Bereavement Meal Ministry

Bereavement Meal Ministry: The nature of this ministry's work calls upon our compassion and ability to reach out to grieving families to exhibit our love, care and hospitality during their time of grief. We arrange a meal or simple reception that follows the funeral Mass where family and friends of the deceased are able to gather and share their love, friendship,  fellowship and food.

Members of this Ministry assist in these receptions by: 

• providing a buffet-style dish

• help with setup of food & drinks

• provide hospitality during the reception 

• help with cleanup
  
  This ministry is often called the "Caring Ministry" and those who participate get great joy in being present for families during a difficult time.
  
  At other times we help at various parish receptions & events, as needed.
  
  A SIGN UP GENIUS system is used whereby a email goes out each time a need arises.
